This Showstopper sterling silver and genuine turquoise necklace was hand made by famous Navajo artist Delbert Gordon, the uncle of Derrick Gordon. He has been making jewelry since the 1970s. The detailed feathers and turquoise center piece were hand made with great attention to detail. The generous turquoise gemstone appears to be from the Kingman mine. It is clear sky blue with black matrix, about 26mm x 15mm. It sits securely in a chiseled frame adorned with a squash blossom, swirls, and rain beads. This center piece is about 1 3/4″ x 1″. Each feather is about 3 long. The solid sterling heavy chain is 3-4mm wide and about 21 long with a lobster clasp. It is marked pc 925. The overall length is about 29 including the center drop of the turquoise pendant. It could easily be sized by a jeweler to a shorter length if desired. The total weight is 38 grams. It is signed by the artist D GORDON, the signature used by Navajo master artist Delbert Gordon. Excellent pre-owned condition- well cared for and ready to wear. Items are enlarged to show detail. I leave patina intact so you can decide to polish or not.
