We use a non toxic, bio degradable, high gloss poly for a safe and beautiful finish. There is the fundamental (whatever key the flute is in), the fifth of the scale(same as the bottom 3 holes uncovered on the 6 hole side) and the high octave of the fundamental, achieved by over blowing. This style flute is so diverse it makes a straight drone seem ordinary. (not available lower than F#). There’s also my new split or harmony drones, which I can make with either 5, 6 7 or 8 holes for extended scales. This is the style flute where one side is shorter than the other, and you’re essentially playing two separate flutes, where all notes harmonize with each other. I can also make flutes in 432hrtz frequency instead of 440 hrtz if you prefer.
