Its outside measurements are 17 3/8 inches long, 6 3/8 inches wide, and 4 3/4 inches tall. The wood is 1/2 inch thick. The box was sanded smooth and finished with several coats of lacquer to make it nice and shiny The inside top and bottom are covered in red felt. It has brass hinges, a brass clasp and a brass handle. This would make a great box for storing personal ceremonial items or a great gift.
