Made by Navajo “PAUL LIVINGSTON” who resides out of Gallup, NM & is one whose work is high in demand.. Known for his precise & perfect workmanship, where all his pieces are totally made by hand & this is a perfect example. This necklace is TRUE Santa Fe style, that is massive, stupendous, over the top, huge, weighty, beyond bold, colossal, one of a kind, head turning & Very, very showy. The way he finished the sterling on this, is beyond beautiful, giving it a rich look as if it has been aging for years.. Beautiful, deliberate oxidation on all the beads is blended, rather than a hard, distinct line of black, which personally, it looks more naturally aged, that way. There is extensive time that went into making this.. ALL the “BENCH BEAD” Navajo Pearls Strand that the’Blossoms & Naja hang from, are all literally all hand made.. Each bead measures a little different from the next, because they are hand made.. They measure around the 12.5 mm mark. You will see solder marks on the middle where the two half’s join together. This also is a validation for being handmade beads (See pics 4)Paul has taken time to make sure the’seams’ are buffed down.. The necklace has “Big Double Navajo Pearls” that extend 3″ out & measure 18 mm each, that are soldered together, so they are all one piece, along with the’Blossoms” being soldered to the outer bead, as well. They have also a remarkable finishing. The Naja is made with a super HEAVY gauge sterling, so it is super durable & thick & measures 4″ wid e & with it’s little bale measures 41/2″ tall.. The Nevada “Royston” turquoise is as natural as it comes, with NO treating whatsoever!! The stone measures 56.7 mm (21/4″ tall) x 40.4 mm wide(11/2″ wide) The color is typical Nevada, with the most beautiful greens/blues with earthy, golden brown matrix. The bezel is completely made by Paul(See pic 8) Without the Naja this measures with a wearable length of 26 Long. No need to use the hook & eye closure, just slip over your head. It weighs a hefty 15.7 OUNCES Just shy of a Pound!!!! I have this priced very low & you will be getting a whole lot of necklace, when you consider all the sterling, the massive size stone & time that has gone into making this.
