1940’s Vintage Estate Turquoise Matching Zuni Necklace & Earrings. 1940`S MATCHING TURQUOISE NECKLACE & EARRINGS. TURQUOISE NECKLACE ON MANEQUIN. NECKLACE W/MATCHING SCREW BACK EARRINGS. EACH SECTION MARKED STERLING. EACH EARRING BACK MARKED STERLING. BACK CLOSURE – SILVER BALL & HOOK. EARRING FRONTS – ALL STONES INTACT – EACH MEASURES 1 LONG. COMPLETE SET – EXCELLENT CONDITION. We date this set back to around the 1940’s era due to the screw back earrings & the smaller circumference of the necklace. This set is in near Mint Condition & appears to have been seldom worn. We could find no cracks, chips, nicks, dings or dents to the turquoise pieces nor to the silver. Even the color of the turquoise appears to have darkened with age & it is a solid color with no veining & is almost a teal color in darker lighting. I do know that this is not a commonly found turquoise stone. The Silver has a Beautiful Soft Aged Patina. The Design on this piece include silver rope below the center stone with silver beaded trim above each center stone & it has a silver bead at the bottom of each hanging oval stone. This Set appears to us to be a hand made, quality piece of Native American Jewelry that will be noticed anywhere it is worn. It came out of an Estate Collection where they had had a number of vintage pieces of very nice turquoise jewelry. The Turquoise Stones have Excellent Color & are highly polished. As you can see, the color of the stones are well matched & we found no veining nor inclusions in the pieces of Turquoise. These 3 Pieces are in Overall Very Good Condition. It is quite obvious that the Stones were each carefully chosen to match & were polished with care. This is one of those sets that is not “overbearing” but rather, has a noticeable, soft elegance of quality & distinction about it but still stands out as being individualistic. It definitely would make a statement if you were to wear it yourself, or perhaps, make a wonderful Gift for that Special Person! Unfortunately, I don’t feel our photos nearly do justice to this Lovely Vintage Native American Necklace & Earring Set. Even the Quality of the Silver shows a Distinctive age & Patina.
