I had planned to get some authentication services on this stone. They are very rare tools so rare in fact that that studying the origin, the uses, meanings of different markings on the stones, have been d i f f i c u l t to identify and explain.. To say the least. This site sits on a summit, a very high level of ground that looks out 360° complete clear view all around. Danger of any kind, even weather on the rise, is completely visible, and of course; the sun rising and setting. Ceremonial rituals were held here and several hundered artifacts cover the ground. Directly below the hill is a “cache pile” full of lithic stones. It has hundereds and hundereds of stones and every one of them is marked and chipped. The ones that are not flint are made of the same material. The assemblage contains stones that i believe were given as dieties, while the others were manufactured to be used as utilitarian tools. The top of the hill is cleared, flint chips cover the ground. All the other trees on the property are mesquite trees, and rocky outcropts. Ive found bones scorched and burned, axe heads, hammer stones, manos, and so many so far that are currently still unidentified and not listed. The authenticity is not in question. If you send stones to get papers, when the results come back to you, you’ll be a happy camper. I do not have the resources right now to do so. This stone in particular has a carving on the top. The edges are rounded and the edge is beveled. There are many many stones which i have seen none like mine in any of my research. Diliberately and purposely shaped and grinded down smooth. Oddly not much scarring shown on them to explain the use for them. Much time and much work did however go into the cosmetic details and style. Very beautiful, heavy, solid, rare stone Artifacts.
