Acrylic paints this is a modern style drum. To make a drum is a very long process. First I have to find a hunter who harvests the deer/elk for its meat in a respectful way. Then I flesh the hide and take it to the river where I soak it until the hair falls off. Next I stretch the hide and pray with it. Then I cut the rawhide heads and soak them and the rawhide lace. Then I tie the drums and hang them in trees to dry. Each drum is a living guest in your home. When they get to hot they tighten and can crack, if they get to cold they soften and wont play. These drums I make have a spirit. They should be treated as a guest in your home. Place in an area where they will be comfortable, do not place them face down (disrespectful) they are not to be hung on the wall as the energy will drain out (walls are for decorations) I was taught that the drum is a part of all cultures around the world. When we come into this world we have our drum and our flute and when we leave this world we take our drum and our flute (meaning voice and heartbeat). Last picture in this listing is a photo of the actual artist. ARTIST NAME: AodhĂ n Crawford. TRIBAL AFFILIATION: Aniyunwiya Tsalagi (Cherokee). Your item comes with Certificate of Native American Made/Celtic Made Authenticity. I also donated items to various prisons to help fund their Native American programs and help those who can not help themselves. Inedible meat is donated to zoos and local raptor rehab facilities. I also carry real wolf, mountain lion and bear items on my direct website but they’re not allowed for sale through this venue. Rawhide used comes from Mule deer or Odocoileus hemionus or Elk. Cervus canadensis neither of which are endangered speceis. The item “Native American drum 12 Buffalo Hand drum indian Cherokee Native Made” is in sale since Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Cherokee Made Native American Handcrafted Lance/Spear 60 in
MY ARTISTIC NATIVE STYLE IS: A MODERN TWIST ON ANCIENT CULTURE. This is a ONE OF A KIND 60 Long Cherokee designed lance/spear. I personally hand craft each, one of a kind piece and many, many hours go into each masterpiece. I use only materials that were available to my ancestors BUT may add an exotic skin or something else I feel is creative. I recreate the weapon with my personal flair and interpretation. The Lance/Spear is a 60 inch piece of hardwood that came from the woods of Stilwell Oklahoma. This one of a kind lance/spear is made with a few different materials, There are 2 pieces of Iguana Skin, which would not be available to my ancestors, but I personally love the exotic feel of it. I also add 2 beautiful pieces of rattlesnake skin and the staff also wrapped with authentic sheep skin, soft and feels good in the hand. The fur on the upper end is real white rabbit fur. The feathers I included are some pieces I made a while ago, they are eagle replica feathers, with buffalo bone/metal/glass beads with some synthetic sinew to secure the feathers. The spear tip is secured by synthetic pine pitch and real deer sinew. I also put real deer sinew on top of each of the feathers for security and decoration. The spear tip is flint/chert handknapped with a serrated edge and is 7.5 inches in length. The blade color has various shades of browns, cream and tan, I would encourage you to zoom in on this stone to see all of its beauty. No knapped blade is perfect since it was done by hand and not a machine, the stone flaking scars and all the different colors are what make each stone unique. All of the skins and leather are secured by my hand stitching. The Lance/Spear in the picture is what you will receive, IT DOES INCLUDE 2 REPLICA EAGLE CLAWS FOR DESK/COUNTER DISPLAY! THIS REPLICA EAGLE CLAWS DO A BEAUTIFUL JOB OF DISPLAYING THIS LANCE/SPEAR ON A DESK OR LONG FLAT SURFACE. YOU WILL ALSO RECIEVE A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY (COA) ON WHAT IT IS, WHEN IT WAS MADE, MATERIALS USED AND MY NATIVE AMERICAN REGISTRY NUMBER TO THE CHEROKEE NATION. THIS IS A GREAT COLLECTORS PIECE, DECORATION PIECE OR AS A GIFT TO SOMEONE THAT WILL APPRECIATE ITS BEAUTY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO REACH OUT TO ME.
