I received this as a gift about 25 years ago and just dug it out from a box of stuff. I dont know much about it so I will list it low. The necklace weighs a substantial 163 grams which to me is comfortable without being flimsy. The more I study it to list it, the more I like it. I have several squash blossoms already or might keep it. I can tell you what it appears to be. It appears to be Navajo made. On the back of the naja is stamped sterling. I do not see a makers mark. The ten squash blossoms and the naja are decorated with stamped, old style shadow box settings with a nice blue stones, possibly Kingman turquoise. The necklace is about 24 inches long from hook to eye. I like the approximately 140 beads which appear to be our preferred old handmade bench beads. I barely rubbed a little polish on a couple of the places on the back and, sure’nuff, it shined right up. This necklace is dirty and needs to be washed before it is worn. Depending on your style, you might also take silver polish to it. This necklace will look terrific with your favorite crisp, white shirt. Wear it with jeans or velvet, Navajo jewelry always looks great. The spectacular 1950s Navajo Blanket Dress that is used as a background will be listed in a soon. Check here for a bunch of authentic vintage Wrangler rodeo cowboy jeans that are cowboy cool from the 60s. I will have great items of Texas and Western collectibles and memorabilia. I will have artifacts from ranch and rodeo and Texas History. I will have special items from San Antonio, Texas including Meyer Pottery, Alamo items, Texas Centennial, and books, leather, tack, rodeo, y mas from Castroville, Lytle, Pleasanton. I will be going through a huge cache of Big Bend/ Far West Texas items from Alpine, Marfa, Fort Davis, and beyond. From New Mexico Navajo and Zuni Indians including rugs and jewelry. Also I will sell a couple of purses I bought in Italy. And, heck, who knows what else. The kids don’t want it.
