ABOUT NAVAJO WYLIE SECATERO. Wylie is the perfect example of the new generation of Native American silversmiths. At the youthful age of just 25, Wylie is already considered a’master artisan’ whose innovative mixed metal designs are high in demand. His 1st jewelry creations appeared shortly after he begun taking lessons at the young age of 10. His father, is the well recognized artist, “Randy Secatero” who taught him how to cut, form, decorate & solder. Randy could not express enough how important’accuracy’ is with each step, always assuring that the piece would be as’clean’ & as close to perfection as possible! With iconic Navajo rug patterns that are so. Woven by his people from generations back, is what inspires him to incorporate these designs into metal form. Made of a extremely durable, heavy gauge sterling that is made with a’grooved’ style design at the top. These are more than perfect to wear alone, but look even better when you stack them with a bunch of other all sterling cuffs! TOTAL WRIST SIZE: 6-3/8 “(1/8″ Under 6-1/2). (If unsure if this will fit, please read below on “How to Fit a Cuff”). AVERAGE WEIGHT: 1.5 Ounces. I also carry this style by Wylie in a hard to find Xl & XXL size for men 8″ & 9″ wrist size!! To see if this will fit, please read “How to Fit a Cuff” below & also look at my “Across Measurement”.. This is also a guide to use that may also help. What you will do is take a cuff that fits, lay it on top of a paper measuring tape, starting on the 1″ or 2″. That then will give you a false reading. This also can be used as somewhat of a guide, but other things also should be taken into consideration, as well(Like the gap, for one). HOW TO FIT A CUFF. You can “You Tube” this by putting something like “How to Fit a Cuff”. Cuffs fit different than any other type bracelet & it is important they fit right! The best way to get a good fit is to measure a cuff bracelet you already have that fits you well. You can use my “across measurement” guide above or go by this. The total inside circumference is the inside circumference of the bracelet from end to end plus the gap (the distance between the ends)If you don’t have a cuff bracelet , then measure your wrist where you want to wear the bracelet. Cut a strip of paper approximately 8 long and as wide as the bracelet you would like to wear. Wrap the paper around your wrist where you would wear the bracelet. You might secure the paper with a piece of tape to get a better feel of the fit. Remove the paper and measure from the end to the mark for the circumference of your wrist. EXAMPLE: If the inside Circumference end to end is 5″ and the Gap is 1″, the total inside Circumference would be 6″ and would be suitable for a wrist approximately 5 3/4″ to 6 1/4 depending on how tight or loose you like to wear your bracelets.. Remember the interior does not change, but the gap can be adjusted, either by yourself or your jeweler, depending on the thickness of the gauge. The thickness of the fleshy part (above your wrist) is equally as important as to whether a cuff fits properly & even though the cuff could fit your wrist, if the gap is too small or too large, can make a huge difference in the cuff fitting. A cuff should not’roll’ around on your wrist(Too loose), nor should you see flesh hanging over the edge(Too tight) Always put the cuff on above the wrist bone where it is fleshy, then bring it down to wrist. And NEVER “squeeze” to tighten!! Go easy, if the gauge is lighter.. Reverse this method to take off. Please know wrist size before purchasing. If you find the item is not as great as I think it is, it does not mean the item is’not as described’.. As always, feel free to ask any questions needed, before purchasing.
