Vintage Navajo conch belt made of copper and leather by the United Indian Traders Association. Marked on back of buckle with their mark, UITA21. The belt measures 36″ end to end but looks like max waist size is about 31.5″ with current holes. Buckle is 2.5x 2.125″ plus nine conchos that are 2.625″ wide. Leather looks to be two pieces glued together, perhaps as an extender. Not sure I would trust this old leather for wearing – perhaps better to use new leather. Belt was wrapped in old tissue paper so tarnish is a bit uneven. I see no damage to copper although scalloped edges are slightly turned up on conchos.
